Hello again, another week or so has flown by...
lots of projects on the go as usual, too many UFO's for my liking
but I guess that's half the fun!!! ;0)
Remember these the 'inspiration' for my next weave project for college!........
so at some point I had to bite the bullet and I started up my mood board, trying to
get to grips with this new colour scheme.....
blues and greens for the board colours and oranges and coppery tones for the etched bits.
...so here is the double warp set up on the warping frame,
first time I've handled so many threads!
Safely transferred on to the loom, always a relief to get this far...
...and here I am I've started a sample weave swatch just to get an idea of how the colours are all going to work....components not woven in yet, but you never know!!!!
Then just because I needed some relief from all that detail I wandered back
to my lovely heddle loom - so blessedly simple, phew!
I've gone mad with some fancy yarns and lots of pastel pinks,
Oh its lovely to give in and be girlie!!
Yep, you guessed it, a little wander along the scarf path once again but
its so soft with some gorgeous baby alpaca in there.
Hopefully its finished in time to get it on to my folksy shop this week-end!
Have a lovely rest of the week.
